Hello! My name is Coleen Salazar and I love everything about the birth, babies and beyond! I live in Visalia, California with my husband Marc and two fur babies, Bert and Bella. We have two incredible adult children and we recently celebrated gaining an amazing daughter-in-law! Since 1996 I have passionately assisted hundreds of doula clients and thousands of breastfeeding clients. I began working as a doula in San Diego and in 2007 Marc's work brought us to California's central valley. Journeying into lactation work has been so rewarding! I have been an active member of the Tulare County Breastfeeding Coalition and you may find me at Birth and Baby focused events around the county. EBB was “birthed” in 2018 and I have enjoyed assisting women and their families providing childbirth education, labor support, and private in-home/hospital lactation consultations. Long before becoming a birth worker, I felt called to the midwifery profession. Working with amazing, passionate, dedicated midwives has inspired me to pursue my BS in Midwifery. I'm currently a student midwife with Midwives College of Utah and look forward to increasing community birth options for people in the central valley. When I’m not studying or helping a new family, I’m enjoying time with my family and friends relaxing or adventuring. Marc cooks, I bake, so gatherings always include delicious food! I love listening to great music (preferrably live), swimming, hiking, camping, gardening, crocheting, and alpine skiing. My daily walks keep me grounded. Oh, and I believe in miracles! |
