CLNC 3030 Phase Three Practicum - Clinical skills and hours logged as primary midwife under supervision of my preceptor (licensed midwife.) Minimum of 80 hours were required during fall term.
MDWF 3030: Complications of Labor and Birth: provides advanced knowledge and understanding of midwifery management of complications that may arise during the intrapartum period. Assigned readings and additional professional-oriented resources support completion of a variety of assignments, including midwifery-practice documents (practice guidelines, informed consent/waiver documents, client handouts), essays, and media-based projects.
PHYT 2020 - Functional Core and Pelvic Floor: this course provided a comprehensive review of how functional core and pelvic floor strength impacts birthing parents’ prenatal pain, fetal alignment, birthing coordination and birth recovery. Learned practical tools to assess and address conditions like diastasis recti, poor fetal alignment, pelvic pain, low back pain, pelvic floor dysfunction and facilitate an appropriate 4th trimester healing plan.

STAT 2050 - Epidemiology: Studied factors affecting the health and illness of populations. Critically analyzed epidemiologic research and discussed implementation of findings in clinical midwifery practice.
