  • The undergraduate program aims to prepare students to practice at the full scope of the Certified Professional Midwife      credential through the demonstration of broad, integrative, and specialized knowledge.

  • The undergraduate program aims to prepare students to practice within their own communities and synthesize applied and collaborative learning. Students will engage in the maternity care system professionally and ethically at all times.
A midwife of personal greatness
  • The undergraduate program aims to prepare students for reflective practice and a perpetual commitment to contribute to the professionalization of direct-entry midwifery.
  • The undergraduate program aims to prepare graduates to educate others in their profession and in their communities. 

academic/Professional goals

Current:​​
  • Provide encouragement and support to local birthworkers by referring clients for doula, midwifery, or lactation services
  • 100 % commitment to excellence in my academic performance. On-time completion of Winter 2023 term
  • Gain clinical experience in community birth with two or more midwives/Birth center
  • Meet with local student midwives/birthworkers monthly
  • Actively participate in the California Association of Licensed Midwives events. Schedule event in central valley. 
Completed:
  • Scheduled summer 2024 birth center clinical rotation
  • On-time course completion of Fall 2023 term
  • Shared/Integrated the doula Medi-Cal referral form/process into my clinical placement August 2023
  • Birthworker connection: hosted a viewing of the film Birthing Justice June 30th, 2023
  • Complete MCU phase 2 training by April 2023
  • On-time course completion for Winter 2023 term
  • IV Skills refresher training (Feb 2022)
